The midnight heist

Late at night, the two suspects broke into a large supermarket through the back door using sharp tools. They cracked open four cash boxes with AED 60,000 inside, then went straight for the main safe, walking away with another AED 600,000 before vanishing into the night.

The next morning, an employee showed up early for work, spotted the mess, and immediately alerted the police.

The investigation kicked off fast

A rapid-response team, including forensic experts and CID investigators, hit the scene in no time. Even though the suspects wore masks to hide their faces, Dubai Police used AI tools, data analysis, and solid detective work to trace their movements and identify them.

Airport takedown

Turns out, the duo wasn’t planning to stick around. They packed the stolen cash and headed straight to Dubai International Airport, ready to make their escape.
But Dubai Police, in coordination with the General Department of Airport Security, moved in fast, catching them just before takeoff and recovering the entire stolen amount.

Both suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution, and the money is now back where it belongs.
Another day, another Dubai Police flex in speed, tech, and precision.
