This night is considered better than a thousand months, according to the Quran (Surah Al-Qadr), meaning prayers, supplications, and acts of worship carry immense reward… equivalent to over 83 years of devotion. It’s also the night the Quran was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught that Laylat al-Qadr falls on one of the odd nights in the last ten days of Ramadan (21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th). Many in the UAE focus on these nights with extra devotion, spending more time in prayer, Quran recitation, and making dua.
Mosques often hold extended Taraweeh and Qiyam sessions, creating a peaceful, reflective atmosphere. It’s a time when families, friends, and neighbors come together in worship, strengthening community bonds.
From videos of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi to Al Manara Mosque in Dubai, and even mosques in Al Ain, people are filling every corner. Worshippers of all ages come together, creating a sea of devotion that’s as humbling as it is inspiring. The energy, the quiet focus, the sense of community. It’s something truly special to witness in the UAE during Ramadan.
Laylat al-Qadr is about pausing, reflecting and connecting. Seeing the mosques packed, prayers echoing, and hearts devoted everywhere reminds you that faith isn’t just personal. It’s shared.
