This One NASA GIF Shows Exactly Much Dubai Has Changed In The Last 34 Years

We all know Dubai has undergone one helluva’ transformation throughout the last few decades, but these images from space are the ultimate proof.

Released by NASA, this Gif shows the growth between 1984-2017.

Watch how the moving gif alters from blank desert canvas, to show the artificial land reclaimed by Dubai and sprawling developments.

The study of cities from above is provided by Nasa’s Landsat programme, which has been collecting satellite imagery since 1972.
