New Zealand and the world are still reeling after senseless shootings at two mosques, which tragically left 50 people dead and many more injured.
One man, Brenton Harris Tarrant, has been detained following the attacks which were carried out during Friday prayers in Christchurch, and world leaders have sent messages of condolence and unity in the wake of the massacre.
Tributes for the victims are pouring in, and many people will be touched by a bouquet left at a local Dubai mosque.
“Just came across this at our local Town Centre Mosque.
Well done and thank you to whomever was responsible for this kind gesture.”
We witnessed the most horrific hate crime that killed 49 worshippers on a blessed day. Our condolences to New Zealand, to the families of the victims and to Muslims across the world. On behalf of UAE that declared the Year of Tolerance, we call for a unified stand against hatred.
