The late Omar Sharif is being honoured by Google today and people are all about it.
The Egyptian actor, who’s of Lebanese origin, began his career in the 1950s and was one of the few Arabic actors to break into mainstream Hollywood productions. Sharif passed in 2015, but his legend lives on, only amplified today on what would have been in 86th birthday….

“In these times of growing polarisation… we desperately need an Omar Sharif to glide effortlessly and elegantly through the allegedly impassable cultural barriers which supposedly separate us.”
