Avatar

Friday late night, hundreds of Pakistani expats took to the streets of Dubai to celebrate Pakistan’s 75th Independence Day.

Going all out to show their support to their homeland, expats couldn’t contain their excitement over the big day and paraded around with life-size flags whilst shouting slogans such as“Pakistan Zindabad” which translates to “long-live Pakistan” in tribute.

This gathering took place over the weekend at Al Karama, outside the Pakistani Sweets shop.

Additionally, Pakistanis in Dubai were also treated to the Burj Khalifa lighting up with the colours of the Pakistani flag on Saturday evening

A flag hoisting ceremony was further observed at the country’s embassy in Abu Dhabi as well as the consulate general in Dubai.
