Just another string to add to Dubai’s ever expanding bow of luxury resorts: Nakheel has been awarded AED 1.5 billion to build The Palm Gateway, a triple tower residential, retail and hotel complex.

The huge new development will include three towers of residential and retail units and a beach club and it will be located at the foot of the Palm.

Nakheel has projects totalling AED 12 billion this year

This project – The Palm Gateway – will boast 1,265 luxury apartments (the tallest will reach a height of 285 metres) and the waterfront retail opportunities will include dining, health and fitness facilities including parks, pools, a jogging track, BBQ areas and sports courts.

Linked to the Palm Monorail, transport to and from the Palm Gateway will be relatively easy and the Monorail will not be disrupted during construction.

The Gateway will also include a new luxury hotel – the Palm Tower

The 52-story luxury hotel and residential complex at the centre of the island is under construction, while the third tower – PALM 360, a luxury residential building is currently in the design stages.

 Work will begin in Q2 2017 and will take an estimated two and a half years to complete.
