Paramedics of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) saved the life of a 13-year-old-girl who nearly drowned in Al Mamzar.
Operations received a call that a girl had nearly drowned and the emergency doctor and paramedics managed to reach the scene in just four minutes.
Dr Hafiz Mubarak, the emergency doctor, confirmed that the girl’s heart had stopped beating and she wasn’t breathing, according to a report from the Khaleej Times.
The doctors and paramedics performed a cardiopulmonary resuscitation and opened her windpipe. Within minutes the child was revived, she was taken to Dubai Hospital immediately after which a scan showed her heart rate had returned to normal.
The doctor has urged parents to take great care when kids are swimming or when near pools are beaches.
