Two cyclones are currently passing by UAE’s coast and are resulting in floods in some parts of the country.
The National Centre of Meteorology is forecasting water surges could return to the UAE’s east coast from Monday as the cyclone comes closer to the coast.
#Kyarr is a super cyclonic storm in the Arabian Sea, the first in the basin since Gonu in 2007.

Cyclone Kyarr resulted in road closures and 20 families being moved to hotel apartments due to flooding this week.
Meanwhile, electricity from houses in the flooded area has been shut down to prevent further damage.
Roads in Fujairah including Kalba Corniche Road, Al Nakheel Street opposite Fujairah Corniche Road and Al Lo’lo’yah beach in Khorfakkan were flooded, and mobile restaurant carts serving snacks, some hotels and tourist facilities were also damaged.
Barriers have been put up to prevent sea water flooding more houses.
