The official announcement came via a tweet from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation on Wednesday morning.

Al Hijri New Year is likely to fall on Tuesday, September 11, however the public and private sectors have been granted a day’s holiday on Thursday, September 13.
The Arabic New Year marks the beginning of the Islamic calendar. There will be no formal entertainment and a dry night is expected to be announced soon.
