It was one loooonnnnnnngggggggg summer, no one will deny that. But since the weather has started cooling, and all the fun outdoor things have started again (Truckersdxb, Ripe Market, DXbeach… we’re looking at you) the time seems to be FLYING by, and before we know it, it will be 2017…eek!
And while we’re Lovin’ every second of it (cheese alert), we can’t help but always hold out for a day or two off work here and there (no offense boss)…
This holiday is fixed on November 30th and is a salute to the Emirati heroes who have died defending the country.
Because this falls on the weekend, the rumour-mill is in overdrive. The holiday may link up with Commemoration Day, which would mean the Thursday would be off…We’ll keep you updated as soon as we hear.
Known as Eid Al Mawlid an Nabawi in Arabic, this holiday is celebrated on the 12th day of Rabi Al Awwal. Because it falls on a Monday, the off-day could be moved to Sunday, giving us a long weekend.
