Heavy rain fell over parts of the UAE yesterday and now we know why.

Six cloud-seeding missions took place over the UAE in the past two days, according to the National Centre of Meteorology via the National.

The cloud seeding planes flew from Abu Dhabi and the missions took place over RAK, Fujairah, east of Dubai, Abu Dhabi City and western coastal areas, according to the report.

It result in minor flooding

And rainfall throughout the region

With more expected in the next 24 hours
