Earlier this morning, the Saudi American Public Relation Affairs Committee, an organization that aims to strengthen the relationship between Saudi Arabia and the United States, announced on their twitter feed that Saudi forces succeeded in preventing a suicide bombing attempt from reach the US consulate in Jeddah.
Mixed reports surrounding suicide bombings in Jeddah have also been released. One report states that a suicide bomber was killed and two other people wounded in a blast near the U.S. consulate in Jeddah,Saudi Arabia early today.
According to this report, the attacker parked his car at approximately 2am outside a hospital which is located opposite the US consulate. He then detonated his device after being approached by two security men.
