Plans To Open Dubai’s Own Six Flags Theme Park Has Officially Been Put Off

Six Flags and its intensely thrilling rides making its way to Dubai is not happening, as confirmed by its developer DXB Entertainments.

Plans for the theme park included what would have been the biggest rollercoaster, a 340-metre long rapids ride AND huge performance spaces.

Several reports announced back in February that Six Flags had been put on hold, but an official statement by its developers has confirmed that it is ‘not longer in the best interests of the company or shareholders.’

In the statement, quoted by Gulf Business, the developers added that “it has been resolved not to continue with the project.”

But there’s still loads to look forward to

But fear not, the UAE still has multiple theme parks to explore like the IMG Worlds of Adventure, Bollywood Parks and even a VR Park.

It’s highly unlikely for Dubai-ans to feel bored.

There are SO many new things coming to the city this year, like The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences opening up, Madamme Tussauds and The Museum of The Future.

It’s hard to keep up!
