Dubai-based online retailer Souq.com announced on Monday that the sale between them and Amazon has been finalised this week.
The merge means that now users can log into Souq.com by using their Amazon credentials.
The initiation of this collaboration has been in favour of increasing Amazon’s leadership in the MENA allowing them to become accountable for almost 78% of e-commerce in the region.
However Amazon has said it will retain the Souq.com name…for now.
“Next phase of the integration to bring more products and offerings to the region’s customers even faster.”
