Speeding Violations Have Decreased Hugely Already This Year But There’s Still A Long Way To Go

Avatar

We’re just over halfway through 2017 and in the past six months, speeding violations have seen a massive 18% decrease.

There have been 1,260,437 violations this year in comparison to 1,541,745 during the same period last year, this proves a major difference, however there is still more to be done.

Colonel Jamal Al Banai, acting director of Dubai traffic department said the decrease is part in thanks to efforts of the Dubai police and use of advanced new technologies.

The new rules which came into play on the first of this month should also see a further decline in figures

The new traffic rules, which cover everything from speeding and seat belt use to window tinting is part of a refocus and re-examining of traffic regulations and should guide road users to become more aware on the roads.
