Avatar

The Easter Sunday blasts across Sri Lanka will not be forgotten quickly.

The most recent reports state over 290 lives have been taken with over 500 injured; this is the biggest act of violence seen in over a decade, when the country was embroiled in a bitter civil-war.

The attacks took place at Catholic Churches, five star hotels in Colombo and religious sites and in the wake of the incident, Emirates has issued a flight caution.

Citizens are reporting delays at Colombo’s International Airport

Eight arrests have been made and a curfew and a social media ban have been imposed

Flights are continuing as scheduled, however people are told to expect lengthy delays and UAE authorities have advised citizens not to travel to the country.
