A British Student Is On Trial For Spying In The UAE’s State Security Court
A 31-year-old man is on trial for suspected spying, after being detained at Dubai airport in May.
The British man is a PhD student, and appeared in the UAE’s security court without a lawyer.
He was detained at Dubai Airport on suspicion of spying after reportedly seeking out sensitive information about the UAE that was confidential.
The case has been adjourned until October 24 for the man to obtain legal counsel.
