The Metro To 2020 Is 70% Complete Which Means The Ibn Battuta Metro Might Soon Reopen

FINALLY!

The Ibn Battuta metro station IS going to reopen very soon since announcements of the Red Line of Dubai Metro to the Expo 2020 site is now 70% complete.

The long-awaited news was announced by RTA’s official Twitter account on Saturday, stating that the Route 2020 project (which is an extension of the Red Line) is progressing at a faster rate.

The Expo 2020 station will have several stations like Expo, Al Furjan, Nakheel Harbour and Tower Stations

Anyone living anywhere after or beyond the realms of Ibn Battuta Metro station will now get to relish in the convenience of the metro- once it’s fully complete.

According to the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the track work on the line (which extends 15km from Nakheel Harbour) is already 80% complete while the station is at 50-60% complete.

The Expo 2020 metro is planned to have the capacity for all prospective attendees (522,000) to the site

The station is announced to have a capacity of 522,000 passengers DAILY in both directions.

HUUUUGE deal

All the works on the metro for Route 2020 is scheduled to be completed by May.
