The Ibn Battuta metro station IS going to reopen very soon since announcements of the Red Line of Dubai Metro to the Expo 2020 site is now 70% complete.
The long-awaited news was announced by RTA’s official Twitter account on Saturday, stating that the Route 2020 project (which is an extension of the Red Line) is progressing at a faster rate.
The line extends 15 km from Nakheel Harbour & Tower Station (11.8 km elevated track, and 3.2 km underground track). The completion rate had hit 80% on the rail track work and 50-60% for the station works of Route 2020 Project. #Dubai pic.twitter.com/LKq6imYQeK

Anyone living anywhere after or beyond the realms of Ibn Battuta Metro station will now get to relish in the convenience of the metro- once it’s fully complete.
According to the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the track work on the line (which extends 15km from Nakheel Harbour) is already 80% complete while the station is at 50-60% complete.

The station is announced to have a capacity of 522,000 passengers DAILY in both directions.
