The Rule Allowing Drivers To Go Over The Speed Limit By 20km In Dubai Has Been Rolled Out Across The UAE

Avatar

So in Dubai, if the speed limit is 100km, you can do 120km. 121km and you are getting a fine.

We all know this and take it as standard. Sometimes it’s tricky to notice when the limit increases or decreases. But we tend to learn the roads we travel on after a while.

It’s not so easy when visiting other Emirates, and many of them didn’t have the same 20km grace on the speed limit.

That has now changed.

Major General Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen is the Chairman of the Federal Traffic Council told ARN News that there used to be different limits in each emirate but now this has been standardised.

No more excuses for those speeding fines on trips to Al Ain and RAK.

There are other new rules might get you though.
