The UAE welcomed its tenth batch of injured Palestinian children and cancer patients for medical care. Departing from Egypt’s Al Arish International Airport, the plane landed at Abu Dhabi International Airport, bringing 86 Palestinians along with their family members.
The recent arrivals are part of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s initiative to offer medical care to 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from Gaza. They were accompanied by a team from the national news agency WAM. Families were interviewed upon their arrival as they commended the UAE’s unique approach to addressing the urgent humanitarian needs of Palestinians.

Since the beginning of the conflict, the UAE has been providing extensive support to Gaza. Operation Gallant Knight 3 was launched in November 2023 to offer humanitarian aid to Palestinians. UAE hospitals have treated 474 Palestinian children and cancer patients, with a total of 3,575 cases attended to at the UAE field hospital in Gaza.
Moreover, six desalination facilities were inaugurated by the nation in Rafah, Egypt, aimed at tackling the critical water infrastructure challenges in Gaza. As it has guaranteed access to clean drinking water. These plants can desalinate approximately 1.2 million gallons daily, with pipelines extending into the Strip for distribution.

In conjunction with Operation Gallant Knight, the UAE initiated the Tarahum or Gaza campaign. As a part of this effort, the United Arab Emirates University has welcomed 33 students from the Gaza Strip, covering all expenses.
