This Resident Stole A Car In Dubai… Accidentally

Ever had one of those moments where your brain is on autopilot and life just goes along with it?

Well, one Dubai resident took autopilot mode on a whole different level, and accidentally stole someone else’s car

But with no reason to panic, cus this is Dubai after all.

A meeting turned meme moment

Ali Sulaev was heading back from a meeting, hopped into what he thought was his car, and drove off. Just pure routine.

It wasn’t until he was already on the road that something felt… off.

Mid-drive, Ali reached around the car, probably looking for something familiar, when reality hit.

“Wait a second… this isn’t my car”

Same model, same look, keys exactly as he left. But just that it was not his car.

Despite the instant panic that hit him up, Ali rushed back to the spot and parked the car exactly where he found it. Looking around, he found his exact same model car parked just further down the line.

The most Dubai thing about the story

Here’s where the story really peaked.

Both cars had the keys inside. Both owners felt completely comfortable leaving them that way. And nothing bad happened, except for an accidental mistake.

Ali shared on his video that the safety and respect people have in Dubai is truly unmatched.

Speaking of his experience back home in Europe, he says this kind of situation would be unthinkable – Leaving keys in the car? Not a chance.

In Dubai, though, it’s just any other day with zero worries on safety and security.

“Honestly I sometimes forget this and it’s definitely one of the things I love the most about UAE.”

Accidentally stealing a car and safely returning it within minutes might be the most accidental love letter to Dubai’s safety we’ve seen in a while.
