This weekend will see over 1.9 million passengers pass through Dubai International Airport.
If you’re going to be one of those passengers be sure to anticipate longer wait times throughout DXB and give yourself plenty of time to get to your flight.
With Eid coinciding with schools closing across the UAE for the summer DXB staff are preparing for the heightened number of passengers.
On Friday 76,000 people will be going through departures, while June 30 will be the busiest day with total traffic of departures and arrivals totalling over 262,000 passengers.
Staff levels will be augmented to meet the increased number of passengers as well as technology implemented to detect areas of high passenger concentration and deploy staff as necessary.
The initiative plans to encourage passengers to arrive early at the airport to avail of promotions and offers while also allowing themselves plenty of time to get through the airport to their flight.
You can view all the offers and register here, with offers including up to 25% off food outlets.
You can also win an all inclusive trip to the Maldives!
