Today marks the first day of the academic new year 18/19 in the UAE as approximately 1.1 million students are returning to classes after summer break.
616 public schools reopen today, according to the Ministry of Education who are amid preparations to launch a ‘trouble-free’ academic year.
The Ministry is working to help students begin the year with enthusiasm, motivation and passion, according to Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education via Wam.ae
35 public schools under 15-years-old have seen architectural, electrical, mechanical, and health improvements, according to the report while 26,000 teachers have undergone a weeklong technical training.
