The UAE is all set to reach another milestone in its history VERY SOON.

The first ever UAE-built satellite, KhalifaSat, will be launched on October 29 from the Tanegashima Space Centre in Japan.

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, broke the news on his Twitter account on August 30.

The KhalifaSat is the first ever UAE-built satellite developed in UAE labs ENTIRELY by Emirati engineers

In a proud milestone moment, the KhalifaSat was developed at the Mohammad Bin Rashid Space Centre by young Emirati engineers.

The launch of KhalifaSat is also in line with the Year of Zayed.

UAE citizens expressed their pride for the country on Twitter

After the manufacturing and testing phases are complete, the satellite will be transported to Japan and launched aboard the H-IIA rocket this October

Once the KhalifaSat is in orbit, the satellite will capture detailed imagery capable of competing against the highest industry standards.

Congratulations to the UAE for this remarkable achievement!
