Kerala in India has been hit by deadly floods that have already killed hundreds and displaced hundreds of thousands.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted condolences to the victims earlier this week.
His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, has now instructed the formation of a national emergency committee to provide assistance to the people affected by floods.
HH Sheikh Mohammed has stated that UAE and the Indian community will unite to help those affected.

The committee will be chaired by the Emirates Red Crescent and include representatives from the UAE’s humanitarian organisations.
