UAE Authorities Have Foiled 86 Cyber Attacks In 2018
The UAE has foiled 86 cyber attacks already in 2018.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) reported as many cyber attacks targeted at government, semi-government and private sector entities according to an ARN news report.
Attacks included ransomware, which threatens to publish the victim’s data or block access to it unless a ransom is paid, and attempts to disrupt official UAE government websites.
The UAE urges residents to remain vigilant to attacks, by downloading anti-virus software and not handing out personal information online unless to a verified source.
