A shock explosion on a popular street in Pattaya, Thailand has destroyed two bars and injured two tourists.

The explosion happened after a power transformer reportedly exploded.

The fire engulfed two bars and quickly spread to 16 motorbikes which were parked nearby.

The UAE embassy made an announcement via its Twitter profile; all UAE citizens visiting the country have been confirmed as safe.
