In what can be described as one of the biggest loss to police forces in a single incident, at least 45 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were killed and many others injured on Thursday in India.
The attack happened when a van packed with explosives rammed into a CRPF bus in Lethpora town, about 30km from Srinagar.
Terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation released a statement saying that the UAE “condemns this terrorist act, reiterating the country’s principled and unequivocal position rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism.”
