The UAE has strongly condemned the use of excessive force by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, against Palestinians, and sent US$5 million in medical care for injured Palestinians in Gaza.
A reported 58 people have been killed in the clash, which saw Israel forces using live bullets and gas bombs against Palestinian protestors.
More than 2,400 have been wounded in the incident, which was in response to the decision to open a US embassy in Jerusalem.

“The UAE absolutely rejects the use of force to confront peaceful demonstrations, which mark the 70th anniversary of Nakba, and demand their just rights.”
The statement condemned the excessive use of force by the Israeli occupation army against the unarmed Palestinian people, “who are practising their right to protest and demanding their legitimate rights”.
According to national news agency WAM, it also reiterated the UAE’s unequivocal position towards the Palestinian Cause and its support for the Palestinian people in restoring their legitimate rights in line with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
