MoFA reported that the UAE has faced more than 1,000 strikes since the recent regional escalation began

1,000 strikes is a figure the government stated exceeds the combined total of attacks directed at all other countries in the region. The UAE Armed Forces intercepted and neutralized these threats, which included 812 drones and 186 ballistic missiles, with what the Ministry described as high levels of professionalism and efficiency.

The statement emphasized that the UAE is not a party to the ongoing conflict. In line with the UN Charter and a policy of “good neighbourliness,” the nation has:

  • Refrained from participating in the war.
  • Prohibited the use of its territory, territorial waters, or airspace for any offensive actions against Iran.
  • Focused on regional de-escalation and stability.

While prioritizing a peaceful diplomatic stance, the Ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s legitimate right to self-defense under international law

Additionally, the government called upon media outlets to uphold professional standards and rely exclusively on official, credible sources to avoid the circulation of inaccurate reports.
