Back in January we told you about a possible UFO sighting in Dubai, it was around the time of the fire at The Address Hotel, Downtown. Well, now there’s been another sighting in the area.
Dulanka Bandara, 34, was in a car on Al Khail Road, when she captured what she thinks is a UFO on camera near the Burj Khalifa.
The Sri Lankan housewife told 7 Days: “I’m sure it’s a UFO. If you look at the shape of the object and the beam that’s shooting down, you can tell it’s a spaceship. They probably have visited us before many times but they have the ability to be visible or become invisible when they wish.
“I have never seen a UFO before, but I’ve heard about them many times, so there is a possibility that they have discovered our planet a long time ago and now they have come to Dubai.”
So, has she spotted a UFO? The Dubai Astronomy Group think not.
Hasan Ahmad Al Hariri, CEO of the Dubai Astronomy Group, told the paper: “It’s very obvious that the appearance of the light near the Burj Khalifa appeared because of a light pole and the fast speed the car was moving at.
“Yearly, we get four or five enquiries about UFOs, the approach we take is that first we gather all of the information and then we make a deep analysis of the photo and there is always a camera glitch that explains why the ‘object’ is there. There was a complex case that we received. There was a tricky situation where we were sent a photo taken by two men over the western horizon of the UAE. The picture was taken in such a manner that it was almost believable that it was a UFO. But after deep analysis, we concluded that it was just a camera glitch.”
Ok good…no UFOs then…just camera glitches.
