Dubai Municipality are giving out free umbrellas to protect people from the sun heat.

The new initiative was announced by Dubai Municipality and involves distributing umbrellas around parks and beaches. The aim is to help protect people from the sun, particularly those who do not own cars or who work in the afternoon sun.

So far more than 1,000 umbrellas have been handed out.
