There Is Going To Be A Whopping AED 12 Billion Spent Upgrading YAS Island

Avatar

Yas Island is about to go up a notch – or 12. An AED 12 billion project is being developed in the hopes of bringing global attention to the island. The additions to the island include a brand new arena, a pier, two luxury hotels and over 50 new restaurants. The big whammy, however, will be in the southern districts, with a vibrant waterfront and entertainment district alongside a media zone and residential area. The residential area will be home to 15,000 people and is being developed by Miral. Visitors can also expect two hotels, 20 shops and a beach club at their disposal.

Among those in attendance for the launch was His Highness Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The project is set to be completed by 2019 – just in time for the 2020 Expo.
