HH Sheikh Khalifa Has Awarded Zayed Medal To Indian PM Modi And It’s A Testament To UAE & India’s Long-Standing Friendship

UAE and India’s historical relationship has only gone from strength to strength over the years.

And this latest development is definitely the high point of their long-standing friendship.

President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has honured Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Zayed Medal on Thursday.

The medal is the UAE’s highest civil honour awarded to kings, presidents and heads of states and has been conferred on PM Modi in appreciation for his efforts to boost relations between the Emirates and India.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, took to Twitter to share the news calling PM Modi as his “dear friend”

He also expressed his pride over this friendship going so far as to dedicate a tweet in Hindi

A thrilled PM Modi responded on Twitter thanking HH Sheikh Mohammed for his kind words

Other recipients of this civil award includes Chinese President Xi Jinping, who was conferred the Zayed Medal in 2018, and Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak in 2016.
