PICS: A Touching Deed By A Group Of Six Emiratis Is An Example To Us All

Avatar

Six Emiratis went to new heights this year to support the ‘Year of Zayed’ and it’s an example to us all.

After an internet search and the help of a local tour guide, they found a school and orphanage located in Arusha City in the Republic of Tanzania.

The school, which runs entirely on donations and with the support of volunteers, is home to 200 kids, of which 50% are HIV patients while the other 50% are orphans who were left “unwanted due to poverty”.

The group had an aim to help the children become self-sufficient

Their time at the school was spent teaching the children become self-sufficient

By educating them with farming techniques and food storage solutions. The group also provided land for farming and helped build a small room for storage.

Before the group went on to conquer the world’s largest free-standing mountain

Standing at 5,895 metres, Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain on the African continent and the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

And they raised the UAE flag after a successful climb.
