I have not done any research before going to Dubai except to go to Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. However, having arrived early in the morning I started scoping the reviews for good restaurants and found this Peruvian gem.
Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to our table.
There was a mistake with our cocktail, I ordered an espresso martini but they put some syrup in it which is disgusting and not in accordance with the original recipe at all. This was dealt with swiftly unprofessionally by I think the manager or at least the supervisor as he just happened to be walking past our table. Thank you.
All the dishes you see were absolutely fantastic. I love Peruvian food in this place did not disappoint. In fact, I think it’s better than any Peruvian I’ve had in London. They never rushed us off our table and we stayed there for a good three hours
The two of us ate a lot and the overall was £300. Good value for somewhere with a fantastic view, easy to get tables and high-quality food right in the centre of the Palm.

The quality of food was superb, understated, somewhat homey & slightly different offerings to what you would think you’d find in a steakhouse, but, a chic version of this. The crispy brussel sprouts, the heirloom tomato & peach salad, the wagyu tartare and the wagyu strip sirloin being the favorites that I shared with my friend - do not think for a moment that you can’t have the brussel sprouts!!! The wine and cocktail selection is reasonably priced, well sourced and thoughtful, growing up in South Africa I was pleased to see many GREAT choices of South African wines (often its big names that really aren’t the best offerings, but, not in this instance).
Our waiter Jerome was attentive, kind, efficient and fun!! He made great suggestions and had incredible things to say that were helpful when I made inquiries. Overall you can tell that the persons working in the restaurant are happy to be there & work well with each other.
I’m looking forward to returning, considering a ladies night or the live music on a Friday - I have a feeling the acoustics are just perfect for it! The lighting is also so subtle and nice in the establishment, it’s perfect for a date night or a fun group setting! Rare Brasserie is the place where I truly find everything I love: steak tartare, entrecôte, scallops, sea bass, or burrata – simply outstanding! The sauces are unique and have their own signature, but they are never over the top. The cooking is honest and skillful.
Despite the premium atmosphere, the place remains down-to-earth. The entire team is attentive, warm, and always helpful. You feel welcome and can simply enjoy a relaxed, wonderful evening. And the food is actually filling – which is not always a given.
If you appreciate good wine, you’ll find a great selection here. Beer lovers will be happy too, as there’s even Bira Moretti on tap – a real highlight for me. And as someone who enjoys a decaf espresso in the evening, I’m impressed: the coffee here is just excellent!
And the best part: getting this quality at this price in Dubai is simply fair. For me, it’s the best spot in town. The food was absolutely delicious — I had the jollof rice with grilled chicken and fried plantains, and it was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Portions were generous, and everything felt authentic and freshly made.
The cocktail I had was also amazing — perfectly balanced and super refreshing.
To finish, I had the beignets for dessert, and they were soft, warm, and just the right amount of sweet.
