BeIN channels are experiencing some technical difficulties in Dubai this evening and people are wondering if there’s a connection with the major events that unfolded throughout the day.
In case you missed it, early this morning the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt severed ties with Qatar closely followed by Libya, Yemen and the Maldives, all accusing the country of supporting terrorism.
Land, sea and air routes have been blocked (most flight suspensions begin tomorrow) and now residents of Dubai are wondering if the TV difficulties are part of a bigger problem.
Earlier this week the Al Jazeera online platform was blocked in the UAE with no official confirmation why and there will be a question over whether the block this evening is linked.
