Qatari authorities have reportedly banned Saudi Arabian Airlines from landing in Doha to transport Qatari pilgrims for Haj.
According to the director general of Saudi Arabian Airlines, Saleh Al-Jasser, Qatari authorities at Hamad International Airport have not authorised Saudi Arabian Airlines planes to land at the airport, despite the request being made ‘several days ago’.
Saudi Arabian king, HH King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques announced that Qatari pilgrims would not be banned from visiting Saudi, but would be required to travel to Jeddah or Madinah by plane to visit.
HH King Salman also announced the land borders would be opened to Qatari nationals making the trip to Mecca.
