The Emir of Kuwait is set to hold talks with King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in a bid to ease tensions in the Gulf.
An advisor to HH King Salman met with Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah previously (pictured above) as the Emir is acting as a mediator between Saudi, the UAE and Qatar.
Now the Emir of Kuwait is travelling to Saudi to discuss the situation with Saudi’s King.
President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan also held phone conversations with the two rulers on Monday in a bid to help ease conflict within the Gulf.
Qatar’s leader, Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is also expected to make a statement to his country on the situation today.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi’s private jet provider Royal Jet has announced it will also be ceasing flights to Qatar
Following the announcements by Emirates, Etihad, FlyDubai and Air Arabia.
