A number of Qatari nationals are currently stranded at the Saudi Arabia-Qatar border after Doha has refused to allow them to enter their home country.
Qatari nationals were expelled from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt as part of the Gulf fall out two weeks ago, with Qatari nationals give 14 days to leave the four countries.
But some have been caught in the fall out, stranded and unable to move.
A Saudi news publisher, Saudi Al Weeam Arabic daily found a Qatari citizen, Zayed Benshafa Al Ghofrani had his passport confiscated by Qatari customs officers, at the border when attempting to pass through.
Al Ghofrani’s passport was reportedly expired and so he was unable to pass through either way.
And the Arab Federation for Human Rights has condemned Qatar’s approach, urging the government to allow the people to enter.
