HH Sheikh Mohammed Turned To Poetry To Persuade Qatar To Find A Way To End The Gulf Fall Out

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai has written a poem directed towards Qatar urging it to meet the demands set by Saudi and other Gulf nations in order to end the recent fallout.

The poem was posted to his Instagram account on Wednesday and has received over 80,000 likes.

The poem, posted in Arabic, is titled “The Way Is Clear”

Speaking to Qatar the poem calls for unity in the Gulf region after Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Bahrain cut all ties with Qatar in a recent fallout.

“Now is the time to unite, one heart/to protect one another beyond hate,” he says.

HH Sheikh Mohammed quoted the Prophet Muhammed in his advice to Qatar.

“We will keep advising Qatar openly in line with the instructions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), when he said in a prophetic Hadith: A wolf eats only an out-of-the-way sheep.”

He ended the poem reminding everyone that the doors to communication remain open between the countries “..whatever the differences, our neighbour shall always be safe”.
