When you have a heart-warming concept, serving delicious home-cooked, comfort food in two of the most happening places in Dubai – Box Park and The Dubai Mall, you’ll basically not need to set foot in your kitchen for a whole month.
This festival by Markette – dedicated to its popular Galettes and Crêpes, started on April 11, and makes NOW one of the best times to visit the restaurant.
Beware though, the aroma of the exquisite hand-crafted buckwheat dough will be reason enough to eat both.
This year, Markette has created four new limited-time variations of their most popular galettes and crêpes, which will be available until the end of April:
Sébastien – a succulent Wagyu beef ham and bufallo mozarella based galette topped with baby rocket, balsamic reduction and heirloom tomatoes. European flavors at their finest!
Marwan – a spiced Lamb and crispy quinoa-based galette topped with aromatic Mediterranean flavors like zingy tzatziki and mediterranean salad.
For those looking to satisfy their sweet tooth, you can find crêpes; thinly cooked pancakes made with wheat flour, filled with an endless variety of toppings and folded into a mouth-watering warm treat.
It’s worth trying either:
Suzette – a crêpe with a concoction of vanilla yoghurt, fresh oranges, home-made orange sauce and sprinkled with cinnamon goodness.
OR
Leila – a smoky, flavor-packed crêpe based with grilled peaches, saffron, apricot jam, dates, paired with creamy pistachio ice cream and toasted pistachios.
There are 12 crêpes and 10 galette varieties to choose from, all made within the island kitchen.
It’s a celebration of self-indulgence for sure!
The festival lasts until May 3.
