5 Reasons Why EVERYONE Should Sign Up For The Dubai Festival City Half Marathon

Avatar

DO NOT let them term ‘half marathon’ intimidate you because the all new Dubai Festival City Half Marathon is open to everyone!

Yup it’s totally inclusive…with distances from 1km, 5km, 10km and 21.2km! So, whether you’re Speedy Gonzales and want to nail a PB, or you need to dust off your runners and get a race in before the end of the year, this event includes distances to suit all fitness levels.

A brilliant community event, here are five reasons to get involved

1. Challenge yourself! There are four distances to choose from

And there’s still time to train.

Make this route your Everest and conquer the 21.2km half-marathon distance, challenge yourself to 10km, complete 5km or tackle 1km. Whatever your ability, the course is open to everyone and it’s all about having fun!

A day out for the whole family, there’s even a 1km untimed distance for kids!

2. Get lost in the iconic running route

Set around the stunning Dubai Festival City, the route stretches around the golf course, behind the back of the mall and then finishes along the front of the promenade.

Walk, jog or run your way to the finish line; it’s so pretty you’ll hardly notice the distance.

3. There’s even a training programme to help you get there

Because running is not easy as it looks and there’s nothing wrong with seeking help to reach your goals.

Check out the TrainME running programmes geared to help beginners and intermediate runners get to where they need to be.

You’ll be bossing 5km in no time!

4. NOTHING feels better than finishing a race like this

On the morning of the race, the sense of community will be huge. There’ll be thousands of people in attendance, all aiming to achieve a common goal; completing the run!

Whatever your level, the feeling of accomplishment after something like this can’t be beat. Oh and the hundreds of supporters cheering you towards the finish line will be the support you need to get there.

5. Get your exact time

You might run often, but big race days are when you need to push yourself to achieve a personal best. Tags to accurately track your speed are a big motivator for you to give your all on the big day

Go on, you can do it!
