Europe has some of the finest seafood in the world, and now is the perfect time to sample it all with the beautiful Pierchic’s Shellebration.
Situated at the end of the pier at the esteemed Al Qasr Hotel with captivating views across the Arabian Gulf, this internationally acclaimed restaurant made waves across Dubai last year as the Emirates’ leading seafood festival, and it’s back and better than ever this year.
This year, the festival sets sail on a three-month journey, beginning July 7 to the shores of six European destinations to experience the exquisite coastal towns of Italy, Spain, Portugal, England, France and Belgium.
Shellebration is set to explore the cultural culinary elements of each destination, celebrating the traditional produce of the lands.
The journey starts, for week one and two, with a traditional Paella de Arroz Con Bogavante – a key favourite from the 2016 Shellebration promotion.
Back by popular demand, the saffron rice paella featuring lobster and seafood, kicks off the tour.
Sailing on to the shores of Italy, Pierchic’s Chef Paolo will prepare his famous Catalana di Crostacei, an elaborate poached crustacean platter served with vegetable crudité.
From Italy, Pierchic travels west to the beautiful Portugal, exploring an authentic Cataplana de Peixe y Marisco, Portuguese shellfish and fish stew.
Head north for the next destination, to Great Britain.
You can savour a unique take on an old favourite, Pierchic’s Posh Fish & Chic features a delicious, beer battered turbot and triple cooked ‘Maries Piper’ potato chips
Sail back down across the English Channel to France, as the chef prepares a beautiful le Crabe & Crevettes tour, a Normandy-inspired dressed Atlantic crab & crevette tower before the last leg of the journey.
Ending the 2017 Shellebration, the final two weeks are in Belgium – offering its quintessential seafood dish – a creamy Moules Mariniere, comprising of fresh black mussels, white wine, parsley, cream, and pommes pont neuf.
While you’re savouring moments of your European journey, enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic outlook that gives an uninterrupted view of Dubai’s iconic sea views and skyline.
The ship sets sail from 12.30pm on the July 7, so be sure to book your place asap!
Located at the end of the pier at Al Qasr, Madinat Jumeirah, the restaurant offers an over-the-water dining experience unmatched anywhere in Dubai.
