7 Netflix Shows You Should Definitely Watch This Ramadan

With over 125 million hours of viewing available on Netflix it can be a daunting task choosing what to watch.

So we’ve narrowed down the many shows worth binge-watching to keep you entertained this Ramadan.

1. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

This hilarious series follows Kimmy Schmidt, who after being imprisoned by a cult leader as a teenager is freed after 15 years and decides to move to New York. 

The theme song will be stuck in your head for days and you’ll want Titus Andromedon to be your friend too. 

2. The Crown

The Crown tells the inside story of two of the most famous addresses in the world — Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street, following the young Princess Elizabeth.

Rumour has it Queen Elizabeth is a fan of the show and if it’s approved by the Queen we don’t need any more convincing. 

3. Orange Is The New Black

Orange is the New Black is the outrageous and critically acclaimed series about a diverse group of inmates serving in a women’s prison.

Expect laughs, shock and maybe even tears. They’re not just inmates they’re one big unconventional family.

4. 13 Reasons Why

As the school mourns the death of pupil Hannah Baker, her friend Clay receives a box of tapes with messages she recorded before she decided to end her life.

A slightly darker addition to this list but good viewing nonetheless. Theres a reason this show caused a lot of discussion. 

5. Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life

Set nearly a decade after the finale of the original series, this revival follows Lorelai, Rory and Emily through four seasons of change.

If you really have a lot of time you can watch the entire series of Gilmore Girls first. 

6. Stranger Things

Set in 1983 Indiana, a young boy vanishes into thin air. As friends and family search for answers they are drawn into a supernatural mystery involving top-secret government experiments.

Take a trip to the “upside-down” with Eleven and co. for an 80’s themed sic-fi series, oh and grab some waffles. 

7. American Crime Story: The People V. O.J Simpson

O.J. Simpson’s double murder trial, dubbed the “Trial of the Century,” is dramatised from the perspective of both the prosecution and the defence. 

Following one of the most high profile cases of the 90’s there’s a reason this show won nine Emmys.
