A tragic incident relating to the recent Kerala floods lead to the death of Dubai-based Indian expat, Razak Akkiparambil, on Tuesday afternoon.

Akkiparambil, who worked as a support staff at a school in the city, went back to his hometown to attend his daughter’s wedding when the floods hit. The extent to how far he was willing to go to save the lives of two children shows his true noble soul.

Several reports say that Akkiparambil saw children in danger, rushed and jumped in the water to rescue them.

Unfortunately, however; the strong undertow of the water meant he couldn’t come out of it.

The 42-year-old collapsed at the immediate burst of water, and he was only pulled out of the water after 15 minutes.
