In 2017, a tax on cigarettes was introduced and now the law is being expanded to electronic smoking devices and refills.
The items will be taxed by 100%.
A 50% tax will also be added to products with added sugar or sweeteners.
The move is an effort to enhance public health and reduce consumption of unhealthy goods, according to a tweet from the UAE Government.
