There’s less than ONE year to go until the UAE’s ‘Hope Probe’ mission to Mars sets off. This is the first-ever Arab mission that will explore another planet, in space.
So in essence, it’s one step for the ‘Hope Probe’ but a giant leap for the region (see what we did there?).
The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSPC) announced the excitement over this project via a tweet on Tuesday.
Emirates Mars Mission’s #Hope_Probe will be launched to Mars in less than a year. Hope Probe is expected to reach Mars orbit in the first quarter of 2021, the year of the Golden Jubilee of the UAE. pic.twitter.com/iVWQBZGpdx

…which ties in just right with the year of the Golden Jubilee of the UAE.

Even if you’re not Emirati, there’s definitely a reason to celebrate the efforts of the MBR Space Centre.
Proud.
July 20, 1969 – Apollo 11 landed on the Moon and created history!
Sep 25, 2019 – Emirati astronaut, Hazzaa AlMansoori, will travel to the International Space Station. It is the realization of Sheikh Zayed’s vision that he set for the country a few decades ago. pic.twitter.com/Coq4dYUlo7— MBR Space Centre (@MBRSpaceCentre) July 21, 2019
