Every year, the Ramadan Sharing Fridges pop up around the city – and residents come together to support the cause, and this year is no different. 

The fridges, for those who aren’t familiar with the concept, are stocked by residents daily, and have free food and water in them for workers to take for iftar. 

It’s a beautiful concept, where residents come together – via a Facebook group, and now an app – to stock the fridges and make sure those less fortunate are fed and watered daily. 

It brings out the best in people with a true community spirit, and now sees hundreds of fridges popping up.

How you can help

There are a few ways you can help out 

• Manage a fridge – You can take charge of one of the fridges in your area – email operations@ramadansharingfridges.org if you want to. 
• Fill a fridge – the fridges ALWAYS need filling, so you can top them up – nearby or check the Facebook group to see where the ones that are in need are.
• Do deliveries – email operations@ramadansharingfridges.org
• Get the word out – talk to people and get everyone to help!
